Purpose

Youth who participate in College and Career Readiness activities are prepared to succeed in college and the workforce.

Definition

This supplement applies when when an Out-of-School Time (OST) program provides assistance designed to help youth prepare for college and/or the workforce as part of its Out-of-School Time program.

Note: This is not a standalone Service Standard.  Programs must also demonstrate implementation of CYD-OST.  

Note: In addition to providing the support and assistance addressed in this core concept, providing youth with the academic support covered in CYD-OST-AESD and CYD-OST-HWT can also play an important role in preparing youth for college and the workforce.
