Supplement for OST Programming: Academic Enrichment and Skill Development Definition

Purpose

Children and youth who participate in Academic Enrichment and Skill Development expand their skills and interests in academic areas, and develop aspirations for college and career.

Definition

This supplement applies when when an Out-of-School Time (OST) program provides academic enrichment or instruction as part of its Out-of-School Time Program.

Note: This is not a standalone Service Standard.  Programs must also demonstrate implementation of CYD-OST.  

Note: Programs that provide homework help and/or tutoring should demonstrate implementation of CYD-OST-HWT. Programs that provide programming and activities designed to help prepare children and youth for college and career should demonstrate implementation of CYD-OST-CCR.
