Northside Psychological Services is a combination of both private practice and community mental health provider. We provide services to children and adults (EAP, private insurance, private pay, etc.) in our private practice setting. Standards for Child and Youth Development (CYD) Programs

The Standards for Child and Youth Development programs were developed in support of enhanced programmatic growth and stability, an unwavering commitment to the health, safety, and rights of clients, and producing high quality, measurable results. 

The Child and Youth Development Program Accreditation process involves the review and accreditation of the program’s administrative operations and its service delivery practices.

Child and Youth Development Edition Services

COA’s CYD standards apply to a variety of programs. These include:

  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) programs, which include day care centers, etc. Home-based/in-home services are not included in this section.
  • After School, School Age Care (SAC), Out-of School–Time (OST), etc. programs.
  • Youth Development (teen) programs.

The Standards for Child and Youth Development programs are divided into two parts, each with sub-sections.

Administration and Management Standards

The Administration and Management Standards apply to all programs regardless of the services provided or population(s) served.  They describe practices that promote sound operations and management.

Service Standards

Service Standards describe practices related to distinct services provided by child and youth development programs. Within the CYD standards, the following services may be reviewed:
