The Consuelo Foundation 2012 Peer Reviewer of the Year, Mr. Arteaga conducts two to three site visits a year, often volunteering for visits that require a Spanish speaking peer.

The Standards for Canadian Organizations were developed in support of enhanced organizational growth and stability, an unwavering commitment to the health, safety, and rights of clients, and producing high quality, measurable results.
Because the Canadian Organization Accreditation process involves the review and accreditation of the entire organization, the standards focus on both its administrative operations and all of its service delivery practices for which COA has an applicable standard.

Categories of Standards
The Standards for Canadian Organizations are divided into three parts:
- Administration and Management Standards
- Service Delivery Administration Standards
- Service Standards
Administration and Management Standards
The Administration and Management Standards apply to all organizations regardless of the services provided or populations served. They describe practices that promote sound operations and management.
Service Delivery Administration Standards
The Service Delivery Administration Standards also apply to all organizations and cover practices related to the administration of services
Service Standards describe practices related to distinct service areas across the full continuum of community-based social and behavioral healthcare services.
