Purpose

Military families with special needs who receive EFMP family support services have the necessary tools to access needed supports and services and effectively navigate the service delivery system.

MIL-EFMP 1: Service Philosophy

The MFR program’s delivery of EFMP family support services is guided by a service philosophy that:

  1. establishes the foundational principles that inform all aspects of service delivery;
  2. is based on the best available evidence of service effectiveness;
  3. reflects the input of the MFR program’s customers and community partners;
  4. promotes meaningful participation, inclusion, and self-determination; 
  5. provides a basis for the implementation of strengths-based, family-centered service;
  6. is grounded in the social and cultural context of the military community; and
  7. is understood by staff.
