COA Standards for Canadian Organizations

As a Canadian organization, our agency valued the Canadian specific standards and contextual accreditation established by COA that draws on the unique narrative of an agency as part of the review process. COA accreditation has engendered an increased awareness of PQI across our agency by helping us improve practices, processes, and further develop and formalize our PQI plan. Most importantly, it has improved services provided to the individuals and families that we serve. In addition, the enduring support of our Accreditation Coordinator throughout the process and the partnership cultivated by the Peer Reviewers on site, make staff feel supported, comfortable and at ease.
