COA Standards for Private Organizations

Maryvale completed its first national accreditation through the Council on Accreditation in June 2014. This was an important and beneficial process for the organization. The process of evaluating ourselves against national best standards challenged us to strengthen and improve in a number of areas. What I appreciated most was the support of the COA staff during the process as well as the continual learning and improvement the accreditation process affords us. Without question, Maryvale is a better organization as a result of our accreditation.

Southeastern Regional Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Substance Abuse Services is a Local Management Entity, covering the geographic areas of Bladen, Columbus, Robeson, and Scotland counties. SER ensures continuity of care to consumers through access to a quality of care system available 24/7/365 days a year through management of our network provider services.
