What other resources are available to ASPs?

COA has developed several technical assistance resources to help adoption service providers successfully navigate the Hague accreditation, approval, and process. Most training and technical assistance opportunities are offered at no cost or at an affordable rate.

These technical assistance and training opportunities include:

  • Self-Paced Training - COA offers pre-recorded trainings on specific topics that can be viewed over the Internet. These trainings can be accessed multiple times by multiple staff members in the convenience of your office.

  • Webinars - you or your staff can sign up to attend web-based teleconference trainings that are offered periodically.

  • Customized Training or Technical Assistance - on-site customized training designed to meet your unique and special needs.

  • Technical Assistance through the E-Help Desk - Coordinators provide on-going technical assistance to adoption service providers throughout the process, and can direct you to resources and tools that can help you better understand the standards, assemble your self-study, and prepare for the site visit. The E-Help desk can be accessed directly in your MyCOA web portal account by logging a case. If you do not have a MyCOA web portal account you can email questions and requests to the E-Help Desk.

Money Management International is a nationwide nonprofit organization that provides counseling and education related to credit, housing and bankruptcy, and offers debt management assistance if needed. MMI also conducts community education programs in the areas where we have a physical presence.
