NEW YORK CITY—January 9, 2013— At its November 10, 2012 meeting, the COA Board of Trustees unanimously elected Markus Trice as chair-elect to succeed the current chair, Timothy Noelker, in January 2014.

Trice has served on the COA Board since 2008 and has lead and participated in several committees including the Audit Committee and the Finance Committee.  Trice is co-founder and managing partner of Compass Equity Advisors, an international private equity fund of funds, and a managing director of Macquarie Capital (USA) Inc., the investment banking arm of Australia-based Macquarie Group.  He previously was co-founder and managing partner of Presidio Partners, a boutique private equity firm (acquired by Macquarie Capital in 2010). He has extensive experience on national and local non-profit boards and is committed to supporting the work of human service providers and their clients. Before forming Presidio, Trice was a managing director at Banc of America Securities LLC.

In addition, the board also unanimously elected Sara Manzano-Díaz and Christopher Leung to serve three-year terms on the board.

Manzano-Díaz was appointed by President Obama in May 2012 to serve as Regional Administrator for the U.S. General Services Administration’s Mid-Atlantic Region. Prior to that, she was Director of the Women’s Bureau in the Department of Labor. Leung has previously served as a COA trustee, Accreditation Commissioner and Team Leader. Prior to retiring in August 2012, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Catholic Charities in Alberta, Canada for over ten years.
