COA Standards for Public Agencies

After extensive research, our team decided to pursue accreditation through the Council on Accreditation. We saw great value in the COA process which brilliantly harnesses the expertise and knowledge of our peers in the field to closely review and assess the quality of our programs and service delivery against research-informed and field-approved national standards of excellence. Notably, partnering with COA supports our agency’s continuous improvement efforts, aligns our work with best practices, and helps cultivate a well-developed, competent workforce dedicated to rendering top-notch service delivery to our community. As the first public services agency to be accredited in the state of California, the San Mateo County Human Services Agency strongly recommends the Council on Accreditation, because after all, who better than COA?
